Zachary Oberman is a Director and Associate General Counsel for Bank of America supporting Global Transaction Services, where he currently leads the commercial banking payments legal team. Zachary’s practice area oversees legal support of cash management services, including domestic and international funds transfers (i.e., ACH and wires) FX, checks, digital disbursements, electronic bill payment, and eCommerce initiatives. Zachary also supports domestic and international payment, messaging, and settlement systems including Fedwire, CHIPS, TCH, and SWIFT. Zachary is responsible for core banking, account and deposit service support, including onboarding, AML and KYC efforts, fraud prevention, and recovery initiatives. He also has responsibility for supporting innovative payment technologies, including distributed ledger, RTP, eSignature, and digital wallets.

When things do not go as planned, treat it as a learning opportunity so the next time, you can achieve a different outcome.

If you weren’t in your current job, what would be your dream job?

It would require a lot more athletic ability but I would love to have played for the Yankees.
